Clay Bush Auctions to benefit Denver Gamers Association

As most of you know already, Clay Bush, one of our local gamers,
passed away recently. He left instructions with his family to have a
local area gamer dispose of his game collection for them with the
proceeds to be donated to the Denver Gamers Association (DGA), the
group that runs the Genghis Con and Tacticon conventions.

Clay was a regular at the Denver conventions. Probably my first
memory of him was at Tacticon 2002, the first convention I helped run
RPG’s. He ran a game which I was unfamiliar with, which happened a
lot in those early days :-) He was very patient with me and all my
questions, teaching me how to properly set it up in the system so
people would know just what the heck he was running. I think I still
have that email conversation saved. I know Clay will be missed by
many people here in the community.

An eBay auction has been set up for the purpose of auctioning his
collection. You can find the items by following this link:
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZnogrodQQfrppZ50QQfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0?

More items will be added regularly, as he had quite an impressive
collection, so please check back regularly.

Thanks all,
Stephanie Latta

House of Dragons and RP Artisans presents “GM Boot Camp 2007!”

July 21, 2007
9:00 amto7:00 pm

Expand your Game Mastering skills with a day of presentations and drills designed to teach the fundamentals of GMing and the secrets of the masters. Come ready to participate and learn!

Date: Saturday, 21 July 2007
Time: 9am to 7pm
Location: Auraria Campus (King Center, Room 106), Denver

No matter your experience level or what genre/system you run, the same fundamental skills and principles apply. GM Boot Camp is designed to teach these principles, help GMs learn to apply them better in play, and hone the skills that give everyone a better gaming experience. Whether you’ve never run a game before or have been GMing for years, this seminar is for you!

Attendees will need to bring pencil, paper, and dice and show up on time. That’s it! The course is geared towards GMing at a convention or similar environment, but the principles and skills learned are
applicable to home games as well. This year’s GM Boot Camp is 90% NEW, so even if you’ve been to one of our camps in the past, you can still benefit from this event.

You must register and pay in advance so we can gauge the number of attendees. The cost is $20 per person. If you volunteer to GM at Tacticon 2007, you’ll receive a $5 refund. Please visit houseofdragons.net/event/.
